Hello my name is Bino H welcome to my channel. In my channel you will find: Tree climbing knots and basic and advanced tree climbing techniques and much more tree related topics.
I started working in tree care when I was 19, and I fell in love with it. Needless to say its one of my most valued passions. I started by working in tree care at a local amusement park here in Southern California, and then the City of Downey for 2 years. Currently I work for the City of Cerritos as a Trees Supervisor. During my work experience I found that it was important to become more educated in my profession, so I turned to the International Society of Aboriculture (ISA) where I obtained: Certified Tree Climber Specialist, Certified Arborist, Certified Utility Specialist, and Certified Municipal Specialist.
I wish to share the experience I have garnered over the years with everyone who is interested, Enjoy The Videos!

Guess I'll never get certified. Oh well.
No offence dude but you really need to lose weight. Get on the cardio and eat your vegetables and protein and your climbing with improve massively as well as your fitness. Your lack of breath is a sign of how unfit you are.
...extremely entertaining! YES! I enjoyed it!
Glad you enjoyed it!
...but then towards the end; I see a potbellied guy scooting up the palm tree. I don't understand 🤔
Easily my a**!😅 I think you would have to be in pretty fabulous shape to be able to do that! Don't I wish...
Thanks for another informative video. My Protos doesn't have the ANSI sticker, and the glasses are integrated. Do the glasses have to be separate? I feel like I would have to buy a cheaper helmet just to pass tech. I also remove all the labels and heat shrink from my eye splices. It doesn't thread through climbing hardware with those on.
When you do that for your convenience it's not bad because you bought it and know that it's the proper gear. The Evaluators really do not know unless it's shown on the gear. Thanks for sharing!
No safety feature can stop the flywheel that drives the chipping blades to a full stop instantly. Being safely lazy or in a hurry is the cause of most accidents.
Thanks for sharing!
Great video, but the click bait on this one is a little ridiculous. Did I miss the fatal mistake?
shut the fuck up while he is explaining
Hello mr bino i had a question in 3/4" tenex rope with the notch thimle at the end is 16' could i use a prusik cord to descend down a palm tree and could a blakes be worth it instead onn a longer rope but same material and thickness just 100 feet better to start with?
As an OSHA competent person, I go overboard, but my PPE is unchallenged. Miners boots because full shank protection and full metatarsal guard is essential to me. I only wear Pfanner helmets and a full face screen via polycarbonate. I always have VOX capability with every man on my crew. I always have a JHA. Be smart: live longer than your job.
Sounds like a great way to run a crew. I don't think it's overboard but smart. Thanks for sharing!
Must be nice to be filthy rich. 😵💫🖕
Seems like Tree Chipper should be banned because its too dangerous...
What about Blake's hitch
The Blake's Hitch is one of the recognized climbing hitches.
Thanks Bino, stay Awesome!
Thank you!
I have never seen that baseball style hard hat ..strange ..
A friend of mine who worked at Bishop Company gave it to me.
Love my protos....they do get hot though..the others you gotta add on to...i do like buckingham top ones with those goggles .but again its very face saveing haveing the sheild..on protos. Cant believe how many times its saved face injuries..or how i worked decades with out one...as you get around 50 years old you learn real quickly buying gear MONEY IS NOT PRIORITY JUST GET THE PROPER GEAR IVE SPENT ABOUT A GOOD 6 THOUSAND EASY JUST ON SADDLE S GEAR CLIMB GEAR SPURS .CLIMB LINES..AND GADGETS..AND A NEW GRCS WITH TRUCK MOUNT AND ALL THE PARTS PLUS MAKITA DRILL .WAS ABOUT 5800.00 BUCKS ...OLDER YOU GET MORE TOOLS THE BETTER ..THANK GOD ..PROVIDED ME WITH USED MINI SKID ..ANOTHER 11.000.00 ...AND INSURANCE IS ABOUT 700.00 A MONTH PLUS YEARLY PREMIUMS OF 2000.00 OR SO..AND INLAND MARINE INSURANCE..PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY GENERAL LIABILITY INSURANCE COVERAGE. PLUS BEING BONDED IS 500 A YEAR..WICH BASICALLY COVERS THEFT..WITHOUT THAT YOU CANT DO JOBS FOR SAY THE STATE OR PARKS..THEN I HAVE TO PAY COMMERCIAL TAGS AND COMMERCIAL AUTO 350.00 MONTH FOR 2 TRUCKS AND TRAILERS..ITS REDICULOUS....ive been sick deadly sick and havent barley done any trees not becoming i dont have work but being sick solo...and iys now 1000 degrees outside
Thanks for sharing!

Would it be possible to make the tail longer and do 2 clove Hitches just because?
on the first method, could i use a sling runner with caribiners ? Thanks Bino, great advice .
You bet!
We should meet up and do a collaborate video. We could talk about the differences in our content ideas. Future of tree work. New tech versus old tech. I’m so old school and you are all about the tech. I still prefer a taught line hitch over a Blakes hitch. Why? Because I’m so fluid with my knot. I work with the slippage and light touch. I have a Rope Runner but hardly ever use it. Thoughts? You could even call me “grandpa”😊 Where do you live? Blair
That would be cool. Have you ever tried a closed hitch system, the Distel is a lot like a Taught line Hitch in the way it's tied and it move very well with out slippage. I also have a Rope Runner Pro and don't use it very often because I do like the way friction hitches feel. I use the Rope Wrench with Michoacán Hitch. I feel like it's the best of both worlds old and new. You're more like my Mom's age than my Grandpas age. I'm south of you here in So Cal. Orange County. Take care!
Thank YOU BINO!
You're welcome!
Thank you brother bino much appreciated all the knowledge thank you 4 takin the time Makin all the videos
You're welcome!
Thank you for sharing.
My pleasure!
The tool you didnt use that ive found extremely helpful is a Sawzall with a 6, 8, or 10-inch blade.
Thanks for sharing!
If you weren't climbing srs and instead preferred mrs when you isolated that branch with the throw line you can set your friction saver from the ground bag goes on the small ring side and the other end connected to the bag goes through the larger ring as long as you have the branch isolated it'll travel to the crotch pull so the friction saver goes through the crotch then release slack bag comes down and then send your line and as long as you pull it through the bag side you'll also be able to remove it from the ground. When your dealing with friction savers think bullet holes smaller to bigger! Hope this helps I learned it on youtube and have used it countless times
Thanks for sharing that, About four years ago I made a video on that process. Take care!
I have learned so much from your channel. Thank You for taking time to explain in depth! Keep up the good work!
Glad to hear it! Take care!
😂😂Thought I did something to the chain, after 10 min of staring, 20 min of attempted untangle and 5 min of cursing I was hopeful I wasnt the only one and went to Google search, found this and wholla! Thanks brother, saved me a chain and likely some embarrassment.. 👊👊
Great job!
9:00 Jesus Christ
I know scary right!
Yes sir thank you for letting us know can’t wait to retest this fall!!
Any time!
You got me lost, I untangled it, don’t know how
Sorry about that but I'm glad to hear you got it untangled.
That was pretty dang cool man I love it
Thank you!
Thanks Bino. Where do I get that sweatshirt?
A friend of mine named Eddy gave it to me. I think you bought it online.
Hi I have a question for you; I am moving my plants from the front garden to the back; the problem is that many of these plants do not have a place yet (I'm still planning the new garden); will i be able to put them in large pots, waiting to be put in the new place?
It's possible but a lot depends on each type of plant some are hardier than others and also the if they are healthy.
@@BinoH thank you for the reply. I took a rhododendron off the soil this afternoon, and I was appalled that in 2 years the root ball had remained identical... Not even one little root was added. So that one I removed into a pot without scruples. But there are a griselina and its companion the photinia that have become so large i can only hope for cuttings... What a shame! I'm sure the new tenants will cut them down!
WHAT , NO WAY!! 😂 awesome trick
Enjoyed the video. Pretty good trick for retrieving a lonely friction saver high in the tree. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you!
I labored 45 years in a variety of industries. Anytime you work for a living you are surrounded by people who know only a little about the perils each job presents. Companies hire cheap labor but cheap can be expensive.
True statement! Take care!
Nice!! Thank you Bino!
Thank you too!
tres astucieux ! surtout la premiere configuration, mais les deux astuces sont formidables , bravo BINO !
I'm glad you think so, Take care!
That's great Bino! Thanks!
You're welcome!
thanks a lot, quite useful for my current work!
Good to hear!
a useful tip
Glad you think so!
WOW! Thanks for a “graduate seminar” in climbing refinements and better ways to ‘get it done’! (I'm referring to your other videos as well.) I’ve watched/studied/memorized many climbing and gear rigging methods in many videos and they all gave me useful instruction. But your videos of refinements’ and ‘shortcuts’ tie it all together so my practicing the climbing and rigging make more sense. Thanks again for your help.
You are so welcome!
I appreciate you Bino! Your an amazing dude! And thanks for the amount of work you do to help us new guys out
You're welcome!
That was a really cool tricks man
Thank you!
